Auction of Very Special Rolls-Royce & Bentley Automobilia at the AGM lunch 27th January
At the end of the year we have been given a few very special Automobilia items which we have decided to auction at the AGM lunch.
These include an original limited edition print No21 of 200 of three Silver Clouds; a model by Franklin Mint of Silver Ghost AX 201; a limited edition collection of three 24 carat Gold Plated Rolls-Royce models on a wooden plinth – a 1907 Silver Ghost, 1926 Landaulet 20HP; and a 1929 Phantom II D back; an original signed and framed oil painting by Peter Miller of a Derby Bentley Flying ‘B.’
All pictured on the front cover of the current Newsletter. Extra photographs of the items can be found on our website.
We have had an extra special item donated for the auction. It is a commemorative coin awarded to members who attended the 1977 Silver Jubilee.
1977 Silver Jubilee medallion, produced in limited numbers by the Royal Mint. In its own black velvet-lined red leather-look presentation case, it shows the Spirit of Ecstasy on one side and her Majesty’s St George and the Dragon RR mascot on the other. Presented by Rolls-Royce Motors Ltd to entrants in the Historic Silver Jubilee Tribute whose cars were reviewed by the Queen at Windsor Castle, these medallions look particularly striking when put onto a silver chain and worn as a necklace. This example is in mint condition.
Should you wish to donate extra Rolls-Royce or Bentley items for the auction please contact John Beecroft by phone or email, who will take commission bids in writing by email or letter before the auction.
All the proceeds will go into Northern Section funds.
